The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has also executed licensing standards. Unfortunately, when the standards are neglected, these measures do not prevent trucking accidents and fatalities.

It is not always the fault of the truck driver or trucking company. Car drivers, who do not consider the limitations of a truck driver because of decreased visibility, the size of their vehicle, and the inability to react quickly, may endanger both parties on the road. Reckless maneuvering or aggressive driving around a truck may result in a trucking accident.

It is important for truck and car drivers alike to take the proper precautions in sharing the road.
